Moving Silence • Neues Stummkino: 

On Wednesday, May 20, at 8:15 p.m., the program features contemporary silent films accompanied by contemporary music: The MOVING SILENCE platform aims to breathe new life into the art form of silent film, where live music and imagery merge into a holistic, poetic synthesis. "Moving Silence" will present four films this evening that have never been shown in Berlin before. The musical accompaniment is provided by Youjin Sung on the traditional Korean harp (Gayageum) and Marco Brosolo on the synthesizers.

“My Big Love in My Little Dog” — a tender story of love between humans and their animal companions
“Schicht” — a dream caught within the routines of everyday life
“Il settimo giorno l’abbaglio” — a portrait of loneliness between two men
“Juggernaut” — a dark and fantastical tale set in the medieval world

Mai, 20:15 Uhr, steh stehen zeitgenössische Stummfilme, begleitet von zeitgenössischer Musik auf dem Programm:  Die Plattform MOVING SILENCE hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, der Kunstform Stummfilm neues Leben einzuhauchen, bei der Live-Musik und Bild zu einer ganzheitlichen poetischen Synthese verschmelzen. »Moving Silence« präsentiert an diesem Abend vier Filme, die noch nie in Berlin gezeigt wurden. Die musikalische Begleitung übernehmen Youjin Sung an der traditionellen koreanischen Harfe und Marco Brosolo an den Synthesizern.
